2025 In Review | After the Fire USA
After the Fire USA is powered by humanity, driven by compassion, and informed by experience.
In 2025, we were fully called up in the earliest days of the Los Angeles fires, where local leaders immediately activated survivor-to-survivor recovery alongside us. These sister fires asked a lot of our team and volunteers—and together, we delivered.
At the same time, we stayed with Maui more than two years into recovery, intentionally integrating Maui leaders into Los Angeles to strengthen both communities and deepen shared learning.
We gathered at the Summit to learn, to lean into community, and to welcome Los Angeles into the “Worst Club / Best People.” Over and over again, you showed up.
This was our hardest-working year yet because the need was vast and constant. We know years like this are ahead—and we will be there too.
This work is only possible because of our team, board, donors, volunteers, partners, and allies who bring the love, trust, and commitment it takes to do this work well.
